The striking livery showcases an enlarged rhinoceros hornbill, a symbol of Sarawak, along with the tagline “Sarawak – More to Discover”, promoting the region’s tourism.

Sarawak: A Hidden Gem of Malaysia

Sarawak is a paradise for nature lovers and adventure seekers. Home to stunning destinations like Gunung Mulu National Park, known for its vast limestone caves, and Bakun Dam, one of Asia’s largest hydroelectric dams, the state offers a unique travel experience. This themed livery aims to create awareness about Sarawak’s tourism potential among Indian travelers.

AirAsia Increases Flight Frequency to Kuala Lumpur

In another exciting update, AirAsia has announced an increase in its weekly flights between Kuala Lumpur and Trichy. Currently operating 20 flights per week, the airline will add an additional flight, making it 21 flights per week starting April 28, 2025. This move highlights the growing demand for travel between Malaysia and Tamil Nadu.

Thai AirAsia’s Connectivity to Trichy

Apart from its Malaysian routes, AirAsia’s Thai subsidiary, Thai AirAsia, continues to operate three weekly flights between Bangkok Don Mueang and Trichy. This provides travelers with more convenient options to explore Thailand and beyond.

Strengthening International Travel from Trichy

The increase in AirAsia’s flight operations reinforces Trichy’s role as a key international travel hub in South India. With enhanced connectivity to Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok, travelers from Trichy can access a wider range of destinations across Southeast Asia.

As AirAsia continues to expand its presence, these developments are expected to boost tourism, business, and cultural exchanges between India, Malaysia, and Thailand.
