Al Noor Island is an award winning destination that has captured the imaginations of international architecture and design committees since its opening in 2015. In 2016, the Island received a number of awards, first being named the “Best Leisure Architecture in Africa and Arabia” by the International Property Awards. The Island’s stunning Butterfly House was awarded the internationally coveted “WAN Metal in Architecture Award”.
In the same year, the Iconic Awards – one of the largest independent international awards in architecture and design — recognised Al Noor Island with the “Best Architectural Design”. The Island also received recognition at the Arabian Property Awards and ran as a finalist in the WAF 2016 Awards. The Island went on to secure the “IF Design Award” and the “Gold A’ Design Award” in 2017, as well as the “Excellent Communications Design” in the Urban Space and Infrastructure category by the prestigious “German Design Award” in 2018.

It’s where kids can spend an hour with a butterfly expert to learn all about the creature’s magical evolution from caterpillar to chrysalis, into a delicate multicoloured wonder. Standard Pass
The whole family will love spending time with our butterfly experts who will explain the fascinating world of one of nature’s most remarkable creatures, with the Junior Butterfly Keeper experience! From a furry caterpillar to a mysterious chrysalis, turning into a glorious butterfly, the whole lifecycle will be explained and demonstrated right here at Al Noor Island’s Butterfly House.
The Standard Pass includes entry to Al Noor Island and a self-guided tour of the Butterfly House with an educator.

Explorer Pass
Every Explorer will receive a special explorer kit to help them set off on their own adventures, which includes a special designed map of the island! When the young adventurers are done from discovering the joys of the island themselves, we’ll then treat them to a guided tour at the Butterfly House, where they can learn all about the extraordinary life of the butterfly.
The Explorer Pass includes entry to Al Noor Island and the Butterfly House, a self-guided tour of the island, an island map, and an explorer toy kit to discover interesting information on the island.

Nurture Nature
