Key New Features
- New Animations: Control Center and Side Toolbox: New animations in both give more polish and better user interaction. Now an enhanced animation system is used in Game Turbo for smoother transitions and a more visually appealing user experience when navigating between the different available game optimization tools . Large Folders, and interactions with applications now have more intuitive interactions thanks to sleek new animations.
- Wi-Fi Sharing:Wi-Fi passwords are easier to share and now connect even seamlessly between Xiaomi devices. It’s also a fuller ecosystem, at least in developments within the brand.
- Mi Transfer “My Devices Only”: Mi Transfer introduces a security-oriented feature entitled “Same Account Devices Only.” Transfers will be limited to devices connected with the same Xiaomi account. This removes the time limit and further tightens privacy.
- New Application of a Clock: Overhauled clock app; returning is unlock and power-off animations axed when MIUI 13 arrived.
- Enhanced Launcher: HyperOS 1.5 Enhanced Beta Launcher: In this release, the performance has been theoretically increased as well as the app should be smoother/more responsive.
- Improved Settings Menu: Settings in MIUI are now better organized and more accessible. This aligns with Xiaomi’s effort to minimize users’ interaction in order to achieve more efficiency.
