As of January 31, 2024, it became mandatory for all FASTag users in India to complete their Know Your Customer (KYC) verification. This means providing your basic identification and address details to the issuing bank or authority. Failure to do so could result in your FASTag being deactivated or blacklisted, even if it has sufficient balance.

Who needs to update their KYC?

  • All FASTag users who haven’t already completed KYC verification.
  • This includes both individual and corporate users.

What documents are required?

  • For individuals:
    • Proof of identity (PAN card, Aadhaar card, Voter ID, Driving License, Passport)
    • Proof of address (Electricity bill, Water bill, Landline phone bill, Passport with current address)
  • For corporates:
    • Certificate of Incorporation
    • PAN card of the company
    • Proof of address of the registered office
    • Board resolution authorizing the signatory

How to update your KYC:

  • You can update your KYC online through the website of the bank or authority that issued your FASTag.
  • Some banks also allow KYC update through their mobile apps.
  • You can also visit a branch of the issuing bank or authority in person to update your KYC.
