How did Suraj from Ponnani become Hanumankind?

How did Suraj from Ponnani become Hanumankind?

The name Hanumankind has nothing to do with Hanuman.  Just added the two names I had in mind.
Despite being a Malayali by birth, Suraj had to live in different parts of the world due to his father’s work, and had doubts about his roots.

His father worked in the oil sector.  Suraj’s family traveled to Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Egypt and other countries as part of their work and spent most of their time in Houston, America.  Suraj studied in Houston from 4th grade to degree. Later joined PSG in Coimbatore for graduation.  It was from there that Suraj began to get an idea of his path.

As per his father’s and mother’s wishes, Suraj went ahead with his studies and work, but he soon realized that this was not his path.  The name Hanuman Kind is adopted after starting his music career centered in Bangalore.  Hanumankind is also there when the Malayalis start following rap.  He has been in Kerala’s hip hop scene for five years.  Hanumankind starts with Kalari released in 2019.  Hanumankind was also there when Netflix came out with South Side.

After the success of Kalari, Sooraj’s growth was quick.  Tracks produced in collaboration with Malayalee rappers were also superhits.  Tracks like Beer and Biryani, Jenkis, Damson, Rush Hour and Go to Sleep also made waves among rap lovers.  Hanumankind’s live performances had more fans than the recorded tracks.  Hanuman Kind describes himself as a live performer.  Those who have seen it live agree with this claim 100 percent.

Hanumankind delivered power packed performances that literally rocked the stage.  It didn’t take long for Hanumankind to become the idol of many, rapping in front of fans half-naked and raising his arms at the height of their cheers.  Uncompromisingly honest
Works are the specialty of Hanumankind. In the lines that he writes, the life he lived and the things that affect him are written only naturally by the fans.

Behind the creation of the Big Dogs that rocked the music world

Despite all the early raps making it to the charts, Big Dogs has received an unparalleled reception. Written in 20 minutes and recorded in 20 minutes, this rap song is on top of the world today. Hanumankind’s Big Dogs rules the streaming platforms, beating Kendrick Lamarr.  A month after its release, Hanumankind and Big Dogs are still the talk of the town. The rap song performed by performing live stunts on a bike and a car running at the well of death has already been watched by 34 million viewers on YouTube alone.

Big Dogs takes place in a small circus thump that is frequented in small towns and villages, so only the shooting of the song took time.  The video is directed by his friend Bijoy Shetty. The attraction of ‘Big Dogs’ is world-class visuals and production.  The costume is Mashar Hamza. Abhinay Pandit’s camera work is amazing. The video is about four minutes long.

Along with rapper Hanumankind, stunt artists are also appearing. Sultan Sheikh, Kashish Sheikh, one of the rare women in India to ride on the well of death, Moor Saleem and Muhammad Shadab Ansari are among the stunt performers.  This track is a perfect combo of East and West music.  Suraj says that for a person who is constantly moving to many places, the root is his own country. The pronunciation style that he has acquired through the journey of Hanumankind through his journey through different corners of the world also makes him a favorite.

Why did the world take over the Big Dogs work?

Each of Hanuman Kind’s works stands on its own without being pretentious.  When it comes to Big Dogs, the situation is no different. There is no doubt that Hanumankind has been able to bring the hip hop culture of Kerala to the global space. Music lovers point out that when Sooraj, a Ponnani native, raps from the well of death that we grew up with, it is not recognized because he is alone and that is not the quality of that video, which was shot in a circus tent in Ponnani.

There are those who observe that he is flying to the international level by taking with him the nostalgia of the Malayali. Even though the track follows the American style, the visuals are emphasized in the Indian background.  It was this combo that brought ‘Big Dogs’ to global attention.  On the contrary, he is embracing the hip hop culture that he has seen, known and heard in his life in Houston.

Hanumankind’s musical experiment stays true to his roots.  Hanumankind, who speaks English with an American accent, becomes Malappurat when he speaks Malayalam. Hanumankind’s fans will agree that this is a deadly combination. But the Hanumankind, who sees and hears himself as a Malayali, is a rapper of international quality, without the burden of Malayalism.

These are the reasons behind the fact that the rap composed by Hanumankind in twenty minutes without expecting anything special is trending on streaming platforms today.
