The first certificate was handed over under the K Smart project launched by the state government to get documents online in the municipalities.
The birth certificate of the child born on December 26 was registered through K-Smart and handed over to the child’s father by the municipal secretary. The certificate was received within 10 days.
The birth certificate of Isaac Reno John, son of Tara Rachel Paul and Reno George John, was handed over by Corporation Secretary Chelsea to the child’s father, Reno George John.

The chief minister inaugurated the scheme in the new year. The objective of the project is to provide documents to the local self-government administration as quickly and efficiently as possible. From registration of births, deaths and marriages to business licenses and building permits, many services can be easily accessed through the application.
