Experts say that there is a fixed time for breakfast and dinner and if it is not done on time, the risk of stroke increases.

A recent study of more than 100,000 people has shown that eating breakfast and dinner earlier can help prevent heart disease. The study was published in the journal Nature Communications. The data of more than 1 lakh people have been reviewed for 7 years and the conclusions have been reached.

What did the research find?

A study of 100,000 people found nearly 2,000 cardiovascular diseases, including heart attacks and strokes. Research has found that eating a late breakfast, the first meal of the day, increases the risk of heart disease. Every hour that breakfast is delayed increases the risk of cerebrovascular disease.

How often one eats is not a risk factor. Research highlights that the number of meals per day does not pose a significant risk, but the timing of meals does.

Dinner time

Research also shows that eating dinner after 9pm increases the risk of stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA) by up to 28 percent. Because eating dinner late at night causes high blood sugar and blood pressure in digestion.

High blood pressure, which usually drops in the evening, can cause more damage to blood vessels. This can increase the risk of blood clots and heart attacks. However, more research is needed in this regard.

Women are more at risk as 80 percent of the total population is female. It does not seem to affect men. It has been reported that men who eat breakfast late have an 11 percent increased risk of coronary heart disease.

Night fasting

Research has also shown some benefits of long overnight fasts. The study found that for every additional hour someone fasted overnight, the risk of stroke decreased by 7 percent.
