- Ibrahim Nasir: Served from 1968 to 1978.
- Maumoon Abdul Gayoom: Held office for an extended period from 1978 to 2008.
- Mohamed Nasheed: Elected in 2008 and served until his resignation in 2012.
- Mohamed Waheed Hassan: Served as the president from 2012 to 2013, completing Nasheed’s term after his resignation.
- Abdulla Yameen: Elected in 2013, Yameen served as the president until 2018.
- Ibrahim Mohamed Solih: Elected in 2018 to 2023 November 16
- Mohamed Muizzu: Elected 17 November 2023 mohamed Muizzu is the current president.
