Muscat: Mwasalat has launched its intercity bus service (Route 203) from the Muscat Governorate to the Sharjah Emirate in the United Arab Emirates, covering a distance of around 450 kilometers via the wilayat of Shinas, with initially two round trips daily. The journey starts from the Mwasalat station in Al Athaiba in Muscat Governorate.
Mwasalat clarified that the trips would be in a trial phase during the first week of the service launch. This route will enhance integration with other transport routes in the Sultanate of Oman, allowing access to several destinations in both countries. This aligns with Mwasalat’s ambitious goals to become a regional transport operator applying world-class standards.
The service includes several stops, most notably: Mwasalat bus station in Al Athaiba – Muscat International Airport – Burj Al Sahwa bus station – Al Mawaleh bus station – Mwasalat bus station in Suhar – Mwasalat ferry marina in Shinas – Kalba bus stop – Fujairah – Sharjah Industrial Area 4 – Al Jubail bus station in Sharjah.
The service follows the passenger transport agreement signed by Mwasalat with the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority to operate daily passenger bus services between Muscat Governorate and Sharjah Emirate.
