Another Realme series is coming to India, intensifying the competition in the mid-range smartphone market.
Realme 12 Pro 5G Series phones will be launched in India on January 29, the company has officially revealed through a statement and through Twitter.
The Realme 12 Pro series consists of two smartphones namely Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro Plus. Realme 12 Pro series will be launched in India on 29th at 12 noon. The listing is already live on Amazon.
Last week, the company officially confirmed that the Realme 12 Pro series will feature a periscope telephoto sensor. Realme says the 12 Pro series phones will support up to 120X digital zoom and offer 0.6x, 1x, 2x, 3x and 6x lossless zoom.
Although the information about some features including the camera has been revealed, the company has not released more details about these phones. Realme is expected to reveal each and every feature of the phones in this series as the launch date approaches, thereby keeping the Realme 12 Pro series discussions alive.
It was earlier confirmed that Realme has collaborated with international luxury watch design master Olivier Savio for the 12 Pro series. So we can be sure that Realme 12 Pro series phones will have luxury design along with powerful camera features.
The specifications of the phones in the Realme 12 Pro series have already surfaced as leaked reports. According to these reports, we can expect Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset in the Realme 12 Pro model and Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset in the Realme 12 Pro+ variant.
The Realme 12 Pro series phones are said to feature a 6.7-inch curved-edge Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be equipped with in-display fingerprint sensors. These phones will run on Android 14 based Realme UI 5.
The arrival of the Realme 12 Pro series is notable for the presence of the periscope camera. The periscope sensor delivers better image clarity in high zoom situations. The Periscope Lens feature was previously only available on high-end flagship phones. But now Realme is going to introduce it in a mid-range phone which makes the series interesting.
The phones in this series are reported to sport a 50MP triple rear camera setup. Realme 12 Pro+ will take people’s photography interests further. It is expected to have a 64MP primary camera, a 50MP secondary lens, an 8MP camera and a 32MP front camera.

In terms of battery, both the phones will feature the same features, according to reports. The Realme 12 Pro series will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging support. Both the phones have 5G support. The arrival of the Realme 12 Pro series will intensify the existing competition in the mid-range smartphone market.
