A member of the Supreme Council and the ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, made an announcement regarding the employment of three thousand citizens in Sharjah during the current year 2023. These citizens will be hired for new projects or replaced for existing ones.
This announcement was made in collaboration with a number of government departments and agencies in the emirate that are responsible for conducting research and surveys in this aspect of the field.
The Human Resources Department received 2,400 applications, the employment of which was completed in November of last year, and this number jumped to 2,700, the employment of which was completed the day before yesterday, with the goal of reaching the recruitment of 3,000 citizens during the remaining few days of this year, or at the beginning of 2024, at the very latest, according to Sheikh Sultan, who explained this information through the Direct Line programme that is broadcast on Sharjah Radio
The annual capacity for implementation amounts to 1,500 applications, of which 1,000 are in the city of Sharjah alone, indicating that these housing units are granted to those whose monthly salary is less than 25,000 dirhams. He pointed out that there are 5,000 applications for the Sharjah housing project that need to be revised, and that they will be implemented and completed within three years. He mentioned that the Sharjah housing project will be implemented and finished within three years.
Additionally, he mentioned that the pandemic caused by the Corona virus resulted in a delay in the completion of this project, which ultimately led to an accumulation of orders.
A new and integrated project will be implemented to improve the road network in the city of Kalba, beginning from the clock tower on Al Wahda Road towards the north and ending opposite the castle.
Sheikh Sultan also mentioned that Sheikh Saeed bin Hamad Al Qasimi Street, as well as its branches and connections with the ring road, will be included in the project. Sheikh Sultan also mentioned that studies and planning operations will be carried out for the city. through the appropriate government offices and departments for the purpose.
