Traffic fines can now be paid in installments in Abu Dhabi
The service was launched by the Integrated Transport Center (ITC) under the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) under the name EasyPayment. Credit card holders from First Abu Dhabi Bank, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and Emirates Islamic Bank can avail the service, ITC said.
Officials have also informed that more banks will be included for this service by the first half of 2024. This service allows payment of traffic fines in installments. Fines up to a minimum of Dh3000 can be paid in installments. This service can be availed through Tham Service Centers or Customer Happiness Centers in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain City Municipalities.
The Abu Dhabi Department of Transport has also informed that payment can be scheduled for a fixed period of three months, six months, nine months and 12 months without interest. ITC stated that the scheme aims to increase customer satisfaction by simplifying payment processes and providing convenient payment plans. ITC added that such projects are aimed at enhancing Abu Dhabi’s global reputation and strengthening its position as one of the world’s leading cities to live and invest.
