The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization has announced that all workers working in the private sector would get a paid holiday on New Year’s Day, which will be observed on Monday, January 1, 2024
ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE NEW YEAR’S HOLIDAY BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT
The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources has announced that the First Monday of January 2024 would be designated as the holiday for federal government institutions to celebrate the New Year.
Additionally, the work will restart on Tuesday, January 2nd, according to a circular that was sent on Thursday.
In light of the event, the Authority extended its congratulations to the government and people of the UAE.

In addition, while there has been no official statement made, if the past is any indication, it is possible that the rest of us will also be given the day off.
The United Arab Emirates Cabinet made the announcement in November on the holidays that would be observed by both the public and private sectors in 2024.

- a Monday National Day is celebrated on December 2nd.
- The holiday for National Day is on Tuesday, December 3rd.
- In spite of the fact that some holidays have been formally declared, the precise dates of some of them have not yet been determined. This is a crucial point to note. This is due to the fact that a significant number of the United Arab Emirates’ official holidays are determined by certain moon sightings.
