According to Mwasalat, a public transportation operator, a new bus route between Sharjah and Muscat would connect the UAE and Oman.
Following the signing of a contract with Sharjah’s Roads and Transport Authority, the National Transport Company of Oman, Mwasalat, will begin daily services on February 27.
Four trips are planned, two from Muscat and one from Sharjah. Through Shinas, the service will function.
23 kilos of checked baggage and 7 kg of hand luggage are permitted for each passenger. The starting fares are 29 Oman Rials (Dh276.66) and 10 Oman Rials (Dh95.40).
The first bus from Sharjah leaves the Al Jubail Bus Station at 6.30 am and arrives at Azaiba Bus Station at 2.30 pm. The second bus leaves at 4 p.m. from Sharjah and arrives in Muscat at 11:50 p.m.
At 6.30 am, the first bus from Muscat will leave, and it will arrive in Sharjah at 3.40 pm. The second will depart at 4 p.m. from Muscat and arrive at Al Jubail Bus Station at 1 a.m.
