Oman’s Ministry of Health has issued new guidelines for visa medical certification conducted abroad.
Expatriates no longer need to visit MOH medical centers for visa medical attestation.
Instead, the service of attestation of medical certificates will be available through the electronic health portal of the Ministry of Health or through Sanad offices. The new directives are considered an important step towards digital integration.
The Ministry of Health also informed that the new procedure came into effect on January 7. A grace period till January 21 has been granted to those who obtained medical fitness certificate before January 7. During this time people can still apply in the old way. But after that, there will be no such concessions, according to the relevant authorities in Oman.
