iQOO has launched the iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G in India today. The smartphone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with up to 12 GB RAM, 256 GB storage, a 50 MP Sony IMX 920 sensor, a 5,160 mAh battery, and a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display. Of course, we can’t not mention the design of the iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G, which would immediately grab your attention. The smartphone’s hero colour variant comes in shades of red and white, with a vegan leather back, and vertically aligned cameras on the top left. There is also a simple black variant (also with a vegan leather back) for people who can’t or won’t do sporty.
iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G price in India
The iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G comes in three variants:
8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage: Rs 35,999
8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage: Rs 37,999
12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage: Rs 39,999
The 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant will be available for purchase via Amazon India and the official iQOO India website, starting March 21. The 256 GB models (both 8 GB and 12 GB RAM options) will be available for purchase starting February 22 for users who pre-booked the device, and February 23 for all users.
The company is also offering a special memory upgrade offer –– which will be available only until February 26 –– wherein the 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variant and the 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage model will be available at a Rs 1,000 discount. This means, till February 26, customers can buy these two model of the iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G at Rs 36,999 and Rs 38,999 respectively.
Additionally, iQOO has also launched an exclusive bank offer, with HDFC and ICICI Bank debit and credit card holders, that will get buyers a discount of Rs 2,000, which would bring the effective price down to Rs 33,999 for the 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant, 34,999 for the 8 GB RAM and 256 GB model, and 36,999 for the 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage option.
iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G specifications
The iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G comes with a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a whopping 3,000 nits peak brightness. The smartphone’s display sports 144 Hz refresh rate. The smartphone also features a ‘Wet Hand Touch’ tech, which as the name suggests, allows the display to be responsive even when you use it with wet hands.
Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with up to 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB UFS 4.0 storage. The processor on the phone is coupled with an Adreno 740 graphics processing unit for a good gaming experience. The iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G also comes with the Extended RAM tech, which, if enabled, doubles up the RAM on board. “Extended RAM expands your RAM with the help of virtual RAM. So now, an 8 GB RAM mobile phone can be expanded to a 16 GB RAM phone and 12GB RAM mobile phone can be expanded to a 24 GB RAM phone,” the company says.
For gamers especially, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G comes with the same vapour chamber area as the iQOO 12.The device is equipped with a 6043 mm² vapor chamber, the largest in the history of iQOO. The company says it accounts for up to half of the entire device in terms of projected area, spanning nearly all major heat sources and providing iQOO’s widest coverage yet.
For photography, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G sports a dual camera setup, which includes a 50 MP IMX 920 night vision sensor, and an 8 MP ultra-wide angle camera. The former is the same sensor also seen on the flagship Vivo X100 Pro. Fuelling the smartphone is a 5,160 mAh battery with support for 120 W fast charging.
Additionally, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G comes with IP54 certification, which means its is safe from dust and water splashes. The device also supports Wifi 7.
