Blue Aadhaar Card is the name given to the Aadhaar card issued to children under five years of age. It is printed in blue letters.
The card will become invalid once the child reaches the age of five. To maintain the validity of the card, you should visit the UIDAI website immediately before this and update it. This has to be done by the parents by entering the child’s biometric information etc.
You have to go to UIDA’s website to apply for Blue Aadhaar. You have to go to https://uidai.gov.in/ and select My Aadhaar to proceed. After booking the appointment select ‘Child Aadhaar’.
Information including child’s name, parents’ phone number and parents’ biometric information should be recorded. Documents such as child’s birth certificate and parents’ Aadhaar card should be secured.
Information about the place of residence, including the address, should also be forwarded. After transferring the information click on the submit button. Then click on appointment option for registration of Aadhaar card. You have to go to the nearest enrollment center with the required documents to complete the process. Registration can also be done by going directly to the Aadhaar Seva Kendra with the necessary documents.
